My goodness, I think it’s about time for a update, don’t you?
I’ll start with one I’m real excited about - a gorgeous wedding I shot for Claudia & Fred at the Gardiner Museum in downtown Toronto was chosen and featured in Wedluxe Magazine’s Winter/Spring 2012 Edition. Taila & Brendon

The Cheltenham Badlands had been this incredible mystery to me for years. I’d been told about them from friends and probably google-imaged them too many times to count, waiting for the right time to finally make my way down. Then one day I got an email from Taila and heard all about this 4 week bike/camp trip her and her finance Brendon took to PEI/Newfoundland where they got engaged. They asked me about locations for their shoot – and for some reason the Badlands were the first thing that came to mind. So one perfectly overcast day we all made our way to the orange clay hills for the first time, to find them completely deserted. It was pretty unreal. I had such an awesome time there with these two that I couldn’t imagine the Badlands having lived up to any better image in my mind. Congrats Taila & Brendon! I wish you the absolute best on your wedding day! alex

You would never have known that it was pouring rain on this day. Everything looked amazing, everyone was excited, and everything just felt right – rain or no rain. I’ve never heard so many beautiful things said about two people, or seen so many people sing their hearts out. It was pretty awesome. Leah & Dimitri

Soooo, we kind of cheated winter this year – but in the best way possible? On a not-so-warm winter afternoon Leah, Dimirti, Cheryl and I headed to Allen gardens to pretend it was summer, and it pretty much ruled. We didn’t totally cheat anyways, we did head outdoors to shoot for a bit…and it was really cold. So thank you Allen gardens, for a great fake first day of summer – and thanks so much to Leah and Dimitri for being such awesome people to hang out with. We honestly can’t wait to get to see you guys again on your big day! So soon!!! Sort of…alex

Erin & Ryan – 1 year reception – Berkley Church, Toronto

Erin & Ryan mean a great deal to me – so it was an absolute privilege to have been asked to be a part of their one year anniversary at the Berkley Church. Surrounded by the most welcoming and caring family and friends, beautiful decor (which centered around 1000 paper cranes that they had been folding over the months leading up to the event – which you can read more about on the Wedding Co’s website), amazing food, and live music (care of Ryan’s father’s band) – we had a heck of a night. These two know how to throw a party. alex

Kerry & Jon

I gotta say, this shoot was a lot of fun. First off, Kerry & Jon were such good company and total naturals. Secondly the little man made beach I stumbled on the day before the shoot fit only too perfectly with the weather that day, and though the sky was growling at us through the whole shoot, we never got more then a couple drops of rain. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Congrats on your engagement guys – we’re totally looking forward to your big day in April! alex

Adalia & Trevor

Our favorite kind of shoots are the ones where you feel like you’re spending the day hanging out and catching up with long lost friends. It also doesn’t hurt when you get to do it surrounded by breath taking scenery or hiking around the Dundas Valley. If it isn’t totally obvious yet, there is nothing we love more then when our couples are down for the outdoors and a bit of an adventure. Adalia & Trevor couldn’t have fit this bill any better. Thanks so much for an awesome day guys! We had a blast and can not wait for your wedding this June! alex

Erin & Ryan

It’s always a real pleasure to shoot a couple as natural as these two. Almost a year after their wedding ceremony, we set out to Leslieville to shoot Ryan and Erin for a post-wedding ceremony, pre-reception engagement shoot (we love when couples set their own wedding time lines!). It was great catching up with them, and getting to follow the lil itinerary they had mapped out for us – The Bus Terminal Dinner for onion rings and shakes, and then Cherry Beach to catch the sunset. Three weeks later Erin & Ryan threw a killer wedding reception which we covered, at the Berkley Church – check back soon for the reception post! alex & cheryl
